BOUGHT TO YOU BY?

INTRODUCTION:
Develops a vibrant cultural and heritage sector in Singapore. Making heritage enriching, fun and accessible to all through exciting events that engage diverse audiences. NHB promotes public awareness and appreciation of our heritage through educational, outreach and community programmes. Through partnering like-minded entities in the people, private and public sector they provide state-of-the-art archival and conservation services. Its brand name is 'Living Heritage, Dynamic Cultures', whereby they believe that heritage is what brought us this far as a nation, shaping our values, inspiring and giving us an identity that is unlike any other. It is what makes us Singaporean.

REASONS FOR SUPPORTING IMD: By organising IMD singapore, the NHB is able to reach their aims of making heritage fun, reach their board corporate and social objectives. Using IMD is a stepping stone to get Singapore's museum more recognised whether is it locally or internationally. By participating in IMD, the management would be able to use the opportunity to meet management of other countries museums and thus able to make inprovements to our current museums. This event also creates a chance for the management to interact and find out the needs and wants of the locals in visiting a museum. With the IMD going on, the media would also be more interested to talk about the museums, giving it a greater media coverage and thuse creating brand awareness among the publics.

-The Museum Roundtable

INTRODUCTION:
The Museum Roundtable is part of the NHB, with finer branches such as arts, culture, defense and community, healthcare, history lifestyle, science and innovation. They seek to develop a stronger museum-going culture in Singapore while positioning museums as unique and fascinating cultural destinations.

REASONS FOR SUPPORTING IMD: Firstly because they are part of NHB. therefore they should come together with the NHB to make the best out of the event. Reasons are about the same ad NHB, creating brand awareness and heading towards cultivating stronger museum going culture. With more people knowing about the Museum Roundtable, they can also expect an increase in visitors whether is it to their free exhibits or to their ticketed shows. By supporting IMD, it also gives them a chance to have better relationship with the NHB people and even the media personnels.

-Fox Movies (Partner)
INTRODUCTION: Fox movies (based in U.S) have recently came up with 'Night at the Museum2' and are promoting the movie tickets at the moment.

REASONS FOR SUPPORTING IMD:
Makes use of the media coverage IMD would have to create awareness of museums, which then creates an interest within the public themselves about museums and in the end, leads indirectly to increase in ticket sales. By supporting IMD, FOX would improve and create better brand name and awareness in Singapore.

I shall end this post by, Thanking these organizers and partner, for creating a wonderful IMD 2009 in Singapore! i really found out more about the museums and what they've got to offer!
